The
Llanymynech Heritage Partnership, to which we belong, came out top in the
prestigious Waterways Renaissance Awards in the Community category
sponsored by DEFRA. The award is given annually to recognise the best
examples of regeneration along the nation’s waterways. The Llanymynech
Heritage Area was cited as an outstanding bottom-up project.

Vice President of the Waterways Trust, to (from left to right) Cllr. Dilys
Gaskill, Stephen Lees, John Martin, and Vivienne Byrne, representing the

| We're
on the Move!!!
Thanks to John’s hard
work we have obtained a grant of £10,000 from Spirit 2 Ysbryd,
to which we have to provide match funding to the same value in cash and
kind (ie, we only receive an amount each quarter equal to our match
funding). This funding has been used to employ the services of Resources for Change who are helping us to refine our business plan, identify sources of finance, target possible sponsors and so on. Already we have had a
successful workshop at which all our ideas were crystallised and
formalised.
